It’s the number one seafood species consumed in the United States. Shrimp is very versatile – it can be steamed, boiled, sautéed, fried, grilled or baked. You can use it in soups, with pastas or in salads; the list is only limited by your imagination.
Experiment with the many different types and sizes of shrimp with spices and marinades from our Seafood Department:
raw, peeled & deveined – This shrimp is perfectly suited to be sautéed, stir-fried or grilled.
raw pieces – Shrimp is unsized (meaning that shrimp was broken during processing) and is sold small, medium or large. Our large pieces are ideal for gumbo and soups.
cooked cocktail style – Cooked, peeled and deveined with the tail on is ideal for dipping. Cooked shrimp is a great item to have on hand for quick meals and unexpected entertaining.
cooked salad size – Cooked and ready to use in salads or dips, this pink shrimp from Oregon earned the world’s first sustainable shrimp certification under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification program.
gulf shrimp raw in the shell – This shrimp is usually cooked, cooled and served in the shell.
raw EZ peel in the shell – A newer version for those who do not want to devein the shrimp after cooking. Just remember, more meat is exposed so the shrimp tends to pick up more flavor from spices or marinades. The shell is easily removed after shrimp has been cooked.
