PB & J Stuffed French Toast

Total Time: 15 minutes • Serves: 2

2 Schnucks large eggs
1/4 cup Schnucks vitamin D whole milk or whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon Schnucks vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon McCormick® ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
4 slices Texas toast or whole grain bread
3 tablespoons favorite jelly
3 tablespoons creamy or crunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon Schnucks unsalted butter
Schnucks powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
1/4 cup Schnucks pure maple syrup

In shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.

Evenly spread 2 slices bread with jelly; evenly spread remaining 2 slices bread with peanut butter. Press jelly and peanut butter sides of bread together to make 2 sandwiches. Dip both sides of sandwiches into egg mixture.

Heat griddle or large skillet over medium heat; add butter and melt. Add sandwiches and cook 5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Serve dusted with powdered sugar, if desired, and syrup.
